There is a tradition in our family. When one of us does not do their fair share, they must be made aware of how the rest of us must carry their load.

~venus~ must now bear the weight that the rest of feel when she does not do her part. She will be locked into this heavy collar for the weekend. This does not excuse her from doing her work. She must complete all of her duties despite her burden. Perhaps she will spent a bit less time kissing her boyfriend and more helping around the house. And if the massive wooden wheel around her neck causes her some difficulty in eating or sleeping, then she will know how the rest of us feel when we carry her load.

Should she not learn her lesson, then perhaps next time she will wear it for a week.
